What's New at Our Hospitals

March 11, 2010: Continuum Health Partners is pleased to advise that the United/Oxford contract for all Continuum hospitals was signed last night. The contract is for all insurance product lines, including commercial, Medicare and Medicaid (Americhoice), and is effective March 1, 2010.

We greatly appreciate the support of our physicians and patients during the negotiation period.

The Addiction Institute of New York announces its 5th annual conference on Friday March 5, 2010 from 8:30 am to 3:15 pm at St. Luke’s - Muhlenberg 4 – Auditorium (Chapel Entrance - 421 West 113 Street). The day-long conference will feature plenary sessions by national experts and break-out workshops that will address the many facets of Addiction Treatment and Criminal Justice, such as the impact of the roll-back of the Rockefeller Laws, the science of toxicology examination and its limitations, and the conundrums of court mandated cases. St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Breast Surgeon Dr. Sharon Rosenbaum Smith to hold a panel discussion called, “Life After a Breast Cancer Diagnosis” at the JCC in Manhattan in March. The subject will focus on the emotional and psychological aspects of being diagnosed with breast cancer at any age.
